The Situation

Loop is an award-winning healthcare wearables scaleup that’s sold over 10 million products and recently ranked #1 for design in Fast Company’s 2024 Most Innovative Companies list.

Following a continued period of success and profitability, the business entered a phase of hyper-growth, as it looked to diversify its product range, break into the consumer electronics sectors and setup a brand new office in San Francisco.

With aggressive growth targets in place and Loop getting minimal ROI from their recruitment advertising, they turned to SyncD to help supercharge their sourcing capabilities.

Our goals were to:
    • Unearth the niche talent required to deliver on their ambitious product roadmap.
    • Work internationally to scale their teams in Antwerp, Amsterdam, New York and San Francisco.
    • Provide Loop with the quality and quantity of candidates needed to achieve their H1 hiring targets.
    • Offer expert Product recruitment knowledge to upskill their existing TA team.
    • Collect talent market insights to inform role requitements and hiring location strategies.
    • Build talent pipelines for future roles.
    • Identify, engage and interview candidates for roles within their Product, Marketing and Ops depts.
Our Approach

We started by undertaking a 2-day onboarding session to better understand Loop’s challenges, calibrate on talent identification and familiarise ourselves with their hiring processes and internal tools. Then we deployed 4 Talent Partners into Loop’s TA team, to operate as their new dedicated sourcing function.

Next we conducted meetings with our respective Recruitment Business Partners to define ‘ways of working’ that could ensure optimal efficiency and seamless coloration. Then with processes and SLAs agreed, we commenced work on urgent live briefs.

Ramping up to as many as 10 live roles at a time, our Talent Partners sourced and interviewed candidates across a broad spectrum of roles, spanning physical and digital product development, marketing, operations and manufacturing.

 Often working with small international talent pools, we had to utilise a range of sourcing techniques and leverage cutting edge AI / automation tools to streamline recruiting efforts. Furthermore, we followed ‘best practice’ usage of their ATS, so processes and data could be tracked and managed securely.

 In addition to sourcing, we also conducted extensive research on the niche areas we were recruiting for. This enabled us to upskill our own discipline knowledge and obtain talent market insights for hiring managers to shape their role requirements and hiring location strategies.

Our Results
  • Enabled Product, Operations, Marketing & Technology teams to hit their headcount growth target for H1 2024.
  • Freed up Loop’s internal Talent Acquisition team to work more strategically, deliver critical projects and make 76 hires across the departments we supported.
  • Saved Loop money on recruitment fees by reducing ‘cost-per-hire’ by 30%.
  • Over 320 new candidates sourced and interviewed.
  • Reduced average ‘time to fill’ metric by 20%.
  • Helped Loop achieve their 40% target for directly sourced hires.
